9 month old with slight concussion?
You only need to wake her for a couple of minutes each time as this will give you enough time to ensure that she is following your commands correctly and wakes enough for you to check that she appears normal in her movements and reactions. When you wake her ask her to grip your hand, and do things she normally does when she wakes (e.g takes a toy from you, repeats words or noises, take a beaker or bottle from you). Don't panic if she seems slow to do these things as she might not be amused at being woken at all hours. Take her back to the emergency room if she vomits again, appears unresponsive when you wake her, or cries continuously. For further advice on concussion in babies from birth to twelve months go to the following website a href="http://www.livestrong.com/article/76604-baby-concussion-symptoms/" rel="nofollow"http://www.livestrong.com/article/76604-…/a This happened to my daughter when she was about one year old and i over reacted, luckily my husband was there to calm me down and as in most cases Jennifer was absolutely fine. If the hospital were at all concerned they would not have allowed your daughter to go home. I hope this has been of use and good luck.
