Will phillies overtake braves in east?
Braves are 7-5 against the Phils this year, with 6 more to play. The first 2 series against the Phils they lost 2 of the 3 games each time. They also had McClouth and Escobar playing, and Melky hadn't quite figured himself out yet. They've added a solid bat in Alex Gonzalez, and Brooks Conrad has been doing a decent job replacing Chipper Jones. Early in the season, Jair Jurrjens went on the DL. Now he's back, and pitching well. I know it's the Phillies, and they can't be taken lightly, but the Braves have been here plenty of times. They have what it takes to win. They also have the extra motivation of making it back on top for Bobby Cox's last season as manager. It may go down to the very last game, but I say the Braves end up as NL East Champs!
